Review of our tour and accommodation at Pontal Praia Suítes – Arraial do Cabo Brazil: Continuing the information written in the post about our 12-day tour and accommodation along the Costa Azul and Costa Verde do RJ, our first stop on this adventure was in Arraial do Cabo, where we stayed in the accommodations at Pontal Praia Suites.
As we didn’t know the place, we searched several sites reading comments, reviews and photos to find a place that was quiet to rest and at the same time close to beaches and tourist attractions.
We searched a lot until we found Pontal Praia Suites, where we made a reservation for 1 room for two people (double bed), with check-in on jan 31st. 2023, and Check-out on Feb 2. of 2023 for the amount of BRL$380.00 (Approximately 76 US dollars).
About staying at Pontal Praia Suites
The place is very cozy and clean, the suite had a ceiling fan and air conditioning.
There is no reception for check-in, but the person in charge (Miriam) received us and gave us all the assistance, answering questions and giving tips for a great stay.
Although the accommodation does not provide breakfast or any other option for food and drink on site, it is very close to shops with a bakery, pharmacy, bars and even a hospital.
On the first day as soon as we arrived, after unpacking, we walked to Praia Grande, where we found restaurants and kiosks for lunch, drinks, or just to enjoy some snacks.

The journey from Pontal Praia Suítes to Praia Grande took around 8 minutes on foot and there we have an incredible view of the beach and we were able to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the lookout point which is an attraction in itself.

At night we return to Praia Grande to check out the bars and kiosks that mostly have live music, as well as varied dishes and snacks at competitive prices, just search to find everything to your taste and value.
We chose to stay at the Só Directoria kiosk, where we had beer, a few drinks and could try the seafood broth for the price of BRL$30.00 (Approximately 6 US dollars), which is really worth trying.
Walk on Praia dos Anjos in Arraial do Cabo – RJ
On the second day we decided to go to a beach called Praia dos Anjos, whose route is a little longer, about 12 minutes on foot.
We walked around the beach, drank coconut water at one of the kiosks and decided to become adventurous and follow the Praia do Forno Trail.

The Praia do Forno Trail is a very steep climb, but the landscape and the beach at the end of the trail are simply spectacular, making all the effort worthwhile.
In the middle of the trail, we thought about how difficult it would be to find somewhere that accepted credit cards to pay the day’s expenses, as the place is very rustic and although the trail facilitates people’s access to Praia do Forno, making it always full of tourists, there are no buildings such as bars and restaurants on site. But the kiosks found a way and most of them accept both debit and credit cards.
NOTE: Although the merchants say they do not charge a minimum consumption amount for the use of chairs and umbrellas that infest every small beach, if you choose to use them you will have to consume some type of food in the improvised stall and the prices are quite steep. , and therefore you will have to disburse at least BRL$150.00 (Approximately 30 US dollars).
After a wonderful day at Praia do Forno, we returned to Pontal Praia Suítes on foot and got ready to enjoy our last night in Arraial do Cabo, as the next day we intended to go to Cabo Frio where we stayed at the Hotel La Plage.
